I was watching Jimmy Kimmel the other night where Malcolm Gladwell (author: Blink, The Tipping Point) was his guest. They talked about how one can become a master of his craft; he must spend 10,000 hours of his life doing whatever it is that he does. Calculating this, I find that one can accumulate his 10,000 hours by alloting 4 hours each day for 7 years for his hobby/work/whatever.

It was finally revealed to me that my life has not been wasted after all. I am uncosciously a master of doing the following things:

1. Sleeping
2. Waiting in traffic
3. Watching TV
4. Pretending to listen in class

And in time, I think that I can also be a master of these:

1. Cramming
2. Going online without any purpose whatsoever

And in the future, I bet/hope/pray I will be a master of:

1. Being a doctor
2. Being nice to people
3. Yoga

My list is very insignificant. Bottom line, in order to be able to do something for 10,000 hours, you have to love it. People who succeed in their work, love what they do and people who don't...don't. Well, that was what the guy with the cool hair said.

My Itouch is missing

Damn Mercury Retrograde, I'm still hoping I can find it soon! 

There's no Tikoy in the house and it kinda pisses me off that I have to buy in order to eat. Hay nako, where have all the good, generous Chinese people gone?

(Actually, my parents re-gifted all the tikoy. tsk tsk)

EDIT: Before I left for Yoga, I found Tikoy in the kitchen! yay! now, i have to figure out how to cook it. (i can be so retarded)

You don't know how happy I am that that dedication booth nightmare is finally over. No more missing ipods, lost children, miley cyrus songs and irritating people. THANK YOU LORD.

Monday- I don't remember Monday, only that I was dead tired after a meeting.

Tuesday- My first batch of samples came out :)




This is pretty exciting. I've been waiting a while to bring my designs/patterns to life. I'll show the whole set once it's complete, but for now, I'm still brainstorming on where to consign my items.

Wednesday- Classes were cut short so I had time to shop. I bought an eggling as a present for someone, but I figured that I should just keep it for myself since I killed my old Basil eggling. :(





Egglings are basically fake eggs with soil inside them. All you have to do is water it and give it sunlight. Unfortunately, I kinda screwed up so my Basil eggling dried up (left), but I believe in second chances so I bought a new Petunia eggling (right). I'll do my best to keep this one alive.

Thursday- Club day was pretty cool. Dj Rye of WAVE 89.1 paid us a visit and gave us a quick chat about his job as a radio dj.





One thing I really like about this Dj is that he just seems so honest and straightforward. He answered even the silliest of our questions and told us some really funny stories about his experiences behind the microphone. Plus, he greeted every single one of the I-Speak members (including our moderator of course) in his radio show. ;)

Friday- I just got home and I'm exhausted. I still have a TON of work to do, it's crazy.

I should be happy I wasn't home yesterday, I would have died laughing.
